Jazzu is a contemporary painter from Toulouse. Thanks to the discovery of J-M Basquiat work, whom he admires, Jazzu plunges and opens his mind to Art. Painting “by necessity”, as he says, his works reflect his emotions and the various difficulties he may encounter; as if these canvases served him as an outlet. In addition to being artistic, Jazzu’s works are irremediably intellectual in the sense that they push us to think on our world and its absurdities. Many impacting messages are conveyed to those who know how to observe his works.
Jazzu is a multifaceted artist, using wood, canvas, plexis or paper as a support, as well as acrylics, aerosol bombs and even the famous Posca pens to create his works.
