Daniel Gastaud is born in 1958 in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
Student at the Beaux-Arts he starts painting and exhibits from 1976 to 1978.
He displayed his work during this period at 41 exhibitions (group and solo exhibitions).
In 1978, he founded the Galerie Gastaud in Clermont-Ferrand dedicating himself to promoting the work of other artists. He took part in the Contemporary Art viewing in Auvergne and organised large-scale exhibitions (Picasso, Pignon, Combas, Denis Oppenheim…). In 1992, he opened a galerie Debelleyme street in Paris, then became a publisher specialised on contemporary art books (Art inprogress in 1996). From 1993 he starts painting again and he exhibits throughout Europe and the rest of the world: Belgium, Bulgaria, United States, Quebec, Sweden, Greece, China… .
Now he lives and works in Paris.
